Pray with me know,

Dear Gods of basketball, please hear our pleas and grant us mercy by bringing us a savior from South Oak Cliff who goes by the name Slim Shady. We beseech the oh basketball Gods to guide his thoughts so that he might see the opportunity for true greatness that awaits him as the savior of our program, and join us in the fall to begin the process of making the name of SMU synonmous with greatness in the sport of basketball.

Amen
The donkey's name is Kiki.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.

Let's dream for a minute. Shady wakes up tomorrow and decides he wants to be a Mustang. Great. He wants to be a 3 - maybe a 4, but definitely not a 5. With the "development" skills of our coaches, do we really think he is going to be developed into our savior?????

My dad used to tell me when I was young that I could "f" up an anvil. I think that same line of thinking could easily apply to our coaching staff......

I agree Stangesq. When he gets here, Menghe Nyam will TRIPLE his highschool scoring output to fill it up at 20 points a game for us!

Thats what really has me worried. I don't think Tubbs is a very good X's and O's coach. Others disagree. That is fine. They say once he gets a roster full of his players (bc he is an amazing recruiter as has been stated on this site many many times by every Tubbs apologist there is) his great coaching skills will shine.

Unfortunately, a project who hasn't been particularly successfull or highly recruited in highschool, like Nyam, will not do much in the way of replacing what we lose in BHop. If we don't get a stud in this class it will be one of those recruiting years where you look back and see how negatively it impacted the growth of the program. Maybe we land Shady and this becomes a great class, I don't know. Just hope we have something planned.

Also, I am scared that we have a commit for next season that was compared unfavorably to Chris Reay. I have not seen him play, but the reviews from the few that have do not sound very optomistic. Just my thoughts on our situation.
