Just to make you guys feel better, how's that managerial job at Jack in the Box working out for you? Does the City of Denton really have all of its sewage pumped to the College and University of North Texas for those horticultural courses (fertilizing 101) or does it just look that way? What will your fans do after we crush you like a grape? What will they have to live for? If you see a big vat of KoolAid at the College and University of North Texas after the game, you might want to avoid drinking it.

NTSU lost to La-Monroe, which lost to Northwestern State, a freaking I-AA team. The Sunbelt lost 27 of 28 nonconference games against I-A teams.
That can't help the ol' Sagarin Ratings.

I am gonna highlight something positive about Denton. They have some really good restraurants. I mean the people there can choose from Red Lobster, Denny's, Arby's, and Olive Garden. Of course, you only go to those places if you really want to impress a girl.

Word on the street is that the Outback Steakhouse is mighty nice if you gonna go a courtin' a lady.

Grand Slam Breakfast at Denny's since I like to do my courtin' after closing time and some of the other "high brow" places like Chili's and Furr's Cafeteria aren't open that late.

Stallion, you are testing all of my powers of restraint on that one. I can see this thread's heading for the swirly file.

Stallion, you still chasing the (in the words of Lyle Lovett) sh!tkicker redneck woman? They have good country bars in Denton? Or do they just hang out next to the payphones at the Quick-E-Mart?

Outback? That is way too nice for Denton. That is totally UTA, TCU, and UTD territory.

Man, this whole discussion feels like when Aggy comes by the UT forums and talks baseless trash. The inferiority complex here is amazing.

...all staffed by friendly NTSU grads to boot!
An added touch

No one has mentioned that the dipsh!t that doctored the original photo also put in "UNT Rules" into the red-and-blue seats on the east side of the stadium. Nice touch. If those janitorial jobs don't work out for this guy, he at least can get a photographer's job at Reuters.

Right. And it's good that you have school spirit there at North Texas High. We do, too, because we got in.

'Nuff said!
By the way, the restaurant recommendations from McClown, Blog and Stallion make up one of the funniest three-hitters I've ever seen. Nice work, fellas.

I can only imagine the trauma that occurred when news reached campus that they closed down the local Sizzler.

CalallenStang wrote:Oh really, so SMU doesn't have a law school? Ha!
True. A law school which is unable to beat the likes of Texas Tech and South Texas in Bar passage rates. Plus, a J.D. is only one doctoral degree. Where are the other several dozen to match UNT's offerings? Plus, since we're considering things "in-progress" as in play (like Legacy) I'll put down good money that UNT's downtown law school will make that pile of bricks on Hillcrest as empty as your football stadium.
CalallenStang wrote:The SMU-in-Legacy campus is designed primarily as an outreach center to the community. SMU is also working on experimenting with new types of courses at that campus. How about this one?
http://guildhall.smu.edu/
I'll see your Legacy with UNT-Ft. Worth (HSC/Pharmacy School) and raise you an entire new campus (UNTD). Plus, terms like "outreach center" (place for unsucessful 40-year-olds to catch up) and "experimenting with new types of courses" (like this "business negotiation" certificate program, which SMU would already have if not for the fact that it's business school doesn't grant PHDs) are fancy terms DeVry and Phoenix use for their degree-by-night schools as well.
CalallenStang wrote:What's your problem with UP?
Honestly, that Kuby's isn't open for dinner weekdays, and Ball's is too small.

Ahh, the 'ol transitive property of College football. So if we beat Baylor by, say, 45 points and you lost by several, does that mean we should win by 50?
And were now arguing about dining? Sheesh, these Ponies sure are scraping the bottom. And for the record, it was a Western Sizzlin', not a Sizzler.
