Yes, once upon a time in the metroplex both SMU & TCU had top 10 programs and were capable of filling Amon Carter and the Cotton Bowl, but those days are long gone. Neither team draws flies these days...that's why they call us "mid-majors". There can be no argument against the FACT that TCU has owned us in recent years, but that won't last forever. I wouldn't knock TCU's schedule. Louisville, ECU, S.Fla and S.Miss are every bit as tough as Hawaii, La Tech, Fresno & Boise. All of those schools have done their part in elevating the status of mid-major conferences by beating BCS programs. TCU is way ahead of us at the moment. I will admit all of that. Meanwhile, no Frog in his right mind will tell you they wouldn't love to have a facility like Ford Stadium on their campus. While both schools might choose to announce paid vs actual attendance, the simple fact is that TCU's numbers would have looked really impressive in Ford these past couple of years.

BTW, this thread started with a discussion about European football. How 'bout that Mustang (soccer) recruiting class?
