1. SMU
2. tcu (What was I thinking?)
3. Baylor

It came down to scholarship money. tcu was leading the pack up until the day before I was about to give up on going to SMU. Heaven smiled upon me and before I sent my acceptance information to tcu, SMU sent me a letter giving me twice what tcu was offering. Woo hoo! Ya gotta have faith.

#1: SMU
#2: There was no #2

I probably should have put a bit more effort into my college search, but whatever - it worked out well.

SMU

safety schools UofH and UT

I would have gone to UofH over UT. Glad I didn't have to make that choice. SMU was a good fit for me, lots of rich snobs.

This would be a much more interesting thread if I knew what everyone majored in. I'd be troubled by someone choosing UH over UT except if I knew that the school at UH they were attending was better than the one at UT.

Like Nacho, I majored in being a rich snob, and am now continuing by getting a J.D. in rich snobbery. I think I chose the perfect school.

1. SMU - (Accepted. The moment I visited campus for the first time I knew it was the school for me).
2. ALABAMA - (Accepted, my Dad played for the Bear, best tailgating and game experience in the Country...and I have been to home games in Florida, Tennessee, Texas, LSU, Auburn, Texas A&M...nothing compares to a Bama home game...and Bama women are second only to Texas women)
3. LSU - (Accepted, Love the campus, Love New Orleans, Love Tiger Stadium)
4. OLE MISS - (Accepted, The Grove nearly swayed me).
5. TULANE - (Accepted, Love the campus, would have killed myself eating and drinking in NO).
6. Texas A&M - (Accepted, contemplated chasing a girl there...thank God I didn't go).
Let me explain something to you. I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me.

1) SMU
2) A&M

Narrowed choice down before I applied. Probably would have gone to UT had it not been so close. Best 1st semester ever at SMU, a little disappointed when I showed up for 2nd semester freshman year and almost all my boys had gone Greek when I had zero funds...good experience nonetheless.

1) University of Southern California (rejected)
2) George Washington (rejected)
3) Syracuse (rejected)
4) Emory (rejected)
5) Arizona State (Accepted, I was going to be a Sun Devil but the parents didn't want me to attend. They thought it was a super party football factory school)
6) SMU (accepted)
7) West Virginia (see 5, I think I applied because it was Princeton Review's #1 party school in 98)

1. SMU
2. Trinity
3. UT

Was accepted to all three, but could be the third woman in the Mustang Band, and who could turn that down? I'd wanted to be in the band since 7th grade.
