Is anyone really shocked? This just goes to show it's not what you do in the regular season, the playoffs are a whole new ballgame. Perfect example: 2006 St. Louis Cards. They were barely .500, snuck into the playoffs, beat the Mets in a classic 7 game series, and stunned the favored and well rested Tigers to win it all. The playoffs are a whole new season where your record can sometimes not mean anything.
