While I am sorry some Tech fans went over the edge...you also need to realize that many of our fans were treated like crap as well. I wasn't able to go to the game (live 5 1/2 hours from Dallas), this is a good example of how several Tech fans were treated. Don't bother clicking on the YouTube link...but just read through the thread...

Dude, I don't care what you or anyone else says. Out of all the teams SMU plays year in and year out, Tx Tech fans are the absolute worst. Maybe SMU fans felt the need to "fight back" this year after being treated so badly by classless Tech fans. I dunno. At this point, when SMU plays Tech, I know what to expect from visiting fans. It's just too bad that people were swearing in front of little kids, whether it was SMU or Tech people. It makes the more sober people around them feel that much more awkward.
The only worse fans I've encountered are Cal fans. They actually throw bottles at the opposing team's fans. Yeah, ouch.
GO MUSTANGS!
FIGHT ON!
FIGHT ON!
The fans in Lubbock (last year) opened the pre-game festivities with the chant of "F*ck you, SMU"... and it went down from there.
I also recall my view from the scenic endzone tickets last year in watching as a couple of top-tier TT fans were escorted from their seats for tormenting a senior aged couple wearing SMU t-shirts (probably parents or grandparents).

Yeah it was during our alma mater. True class there.

I know I am about to get blasted for this, but hopefully you guys understand I am not being rude.
You guys might want to check your sportsmanship comments a bit. A SMU fan was thrown out of the game because he wouldn't quit cussing at everyone around him. My middle school son was harrassed by a SMU student, when he went to get a drink. It wasn't just Tech fans with rude behavior.
As far as the Tech fans everywhere in the stadium. Why does that surprise you? That is why you scheduled the game in the first place. The problem with the attendance Monday was the number of SMU fans staying home and leaving the end zone empty. Maybe SMU shouldn't have held those tickets for a late release.
At least there was no problem getting into the stadium and you didn't run out of water, ice, change, etc, but the parking was long gone by the time I got there, two hours early. I ended up parking at Yale and Greenville. It isn't like the game sneaked up on SMU.
I believe there is another game in Dallas next season. Tech will bring 20,000 plus again. We will be sitting everywhere we can get tickets. I imagine the price will be over $50 and it will be a bargain. Oklahoma State is charging $87 for the Tech game this year and it will be a sellout. Last year A&M charged that much and it was one of the 5 largest crowds ever at Kyle. So be prepared for a steep price next season.
Tech's largest alumni block is in DFW and we turn out every chance we get.

No doubt every school has a percentage of rude, crude, drunk fans who make it miserable for everyone around them. That percentage varies from school to school. From my experience, I would venture to say that Tech has a fairly high percentage of those types as do most state schools. As I stated in another post, civility in general is down all across the board in today's culture.

Why isn't security (police) called???
Take the SOB's away & then we can all enjoy the game.
On another note, why isn't the police/security more involved????

BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

I happened to be at this game, and was disgusted by your "fans" the entire game... this just topped it off!
