Everybody knows things that make absolutely no sense at all are the most fashionable... Although I think a shirt that just says "SMU" would be better. When I go to the W&M games that's what I wear, an SMU shirt.
I will admit my double standard: I am just as happy to have MrMustang1965 a fan of SMU as Florida is happy to have smu2004, and USC is to have SMUTrojanFAN. But if I recall correctly, in '06, when it came down to it, it was clear that MM65 was rooting for his Bearcats, and I couldn't respect that more. That made total sense to me. SMU plays USC, who you rootin for?

Ahh, my dream scenario. haha
I would undoubtedly root for SMU, even though I know now (in 2007) it wouldn't even be close. I think it's ok to have a double allegiance, as long as the priority goes to the right place (which I would consider my alma mater, of course). After all, it's not illegal to have 2 passports, right?

Not endorsing anything; I just know someone will post this sooner or later and I thought I would put it here as opposed to starting yet another Terry Bowden thread.

Read the whole thing if you want. They are actually pretty high on Bowden coming back and even suggest he would be a decent fit for SMU.
But, hey. Any idiot can have a blog.

Terry Bowden's Strengths: One of the best gameday coaches and playcallers when he was a head coach, very good motivator, high-energy, able to relate to players well, runs a very innovative offense scheme, has been through the battles of coaching in the SEC, hires good assistant coaches, able to hit the ground running and manage a football program from day one, probably has more perspective now after being out of coaching for a few years, not afraid of a tough situation, from a great coaching family.
Terry Bowden's Weaknesses: Needs to commit to being a great recruiter, i.e. Urban Meyer, Bob Stoops, Nick Saban, Needs to build strong relationships with his new AD, President, and college leaders, needs to work better with the media, and most importantly he needs to build a strong bond with fans and the local community.
