I think I've figured this out. The administration knew that the natives were going to be restless if we lost, so to hedge their bets, they distracted us from the hemmorhaging happening on the field by messing up the concessions. They knew we'd fall into their trap and complain about the concessions, thus taking the heat off Orsini for the true problem. But then again, that would give them the credit of being able to have sentient thought.

It is scary when they need the calculator for a coke and bag of peanut.

If SMU can't get the concessions squared away and the entry into the venue, we will also not draw in basketball. Doherty has stated on the record that he needs an average attendance of 4500 in order to recruit the top players, If Orsini can't get this scared away and make the games more fan friendly, SMU will lose Doherty.

sad that everything about SMU football just plain sucks right now, we can't get ANYTHING right...whether it's at the box office for a ticket, or the concession stands. No one can even leave. Don't get me started on the PA announcer. Really, really sad that our school is such a laughingstock all the way around by anyone that comes to a game. It's not like the product on the field is anything to write home about right now, you'd think everything else would have to be perfect, and it's far from. I'll always go to games if I can, but anyone I bring probably wouldn't want to come back

i hate to say it but Doherty has a long way to go in terms of scheduling and fan enthusiasm for the product to draw anything close to 4500.

As someone who has been a guest in the club level several times, I can tell you the opposite is true. They've probably had so many complaints - from the quality of the food, to the bar service to the ear-blasting sound system - in the club level that they can't even begin to address the concourse issues.

That makes sense. Which schools with top players have attendance figures similar to SMU's? Moreso, which schools with top players have attendance figures regularly under 4,500?
God bless the 1,500, but it will take more than them if this program is to get good players and win consistently.
