Gil has already been the OC at Nebraska under Soilch. Paul Johnson seems like the guy for Nebraska or Pelini. He would be a great choice for SMU.

I guess some of the Gill interest has waned since he is now 4-6.

But that is 4 times more than we have won.

4 of those games were against BCS schools on the Road playing way above their level (OK Syracuse sucks). He still can go 6-2 in that conference. Geez SMU hasn't beaten a Big 12 South school in 18 years. Actually Gill is looking better and better to me. I'd like to see him close out the season strong though. But I'd rather have Gill than most other candidates especially if we are chosing from Big 12 Coordinators.

stallion, i agree that Gill would be a good fit and would open up a lot of doors that may normally be closed to us.

Gill was at the top of my list early on for all the reasons mentioned on this site. But he has been off the table since the first week. Talked to someone in know the Thursday after Bennett's firing and was told Gill was contacted by SMU and he was not interested. His reason was his daughter was a Junior in high school and did want to uproot her for her last year and he has made a commitment to Buffalo. I suspect as does my source he is waiting for the Nebraska job or has been told aready he is a front runner for it.

It sounds like a serious medical condition.

So it could be:
a) a serious medial condition
b) a stripper at Baby Doll's
c) a possible side effect for overuse of Viagra
d) urban slang for an attractive Metrosexual

Of course if it is b, it could lead to c and/or a.

It will be interesting to find out WHO is interested if the Head Coach of Buffalo earning a couple of hundred thousand is not.

in 1993, Gil was spotted at the Million Dollar Saloon getting a lap dance. He is no longer under consideration because of this.
