That would save money on travel expenses.

And the "model" only requires opposable thumbs.

We are headed in the right direction. I am surprised to see A&M coming to Ford in 2012 but how great is that? Let's keep this going and schedule the big dogs....and yes, we will travel to other party schools (lsu, ole miss, etc)

A&M will never set foot in Ford Stadium.

I bet we smoke A&M in Ford come 2012. That will be the season we go to a BCS Bowl.

So they are going to forfeit? Cool. Chalk up one win in 2012.

Its called a buyout-and Blog and I have been speculating on this for a couple of years. Note how the deal was structured with the last game in the series in Dallas. Of course, if we aren't competitive they may throw a bone to the Dallas alumni. Couldn't hurt recruiting either. But consider that at what 60$ a pop(minimum) and 80,000 fans most schools are opting to play as many home non-conference games as possible against WhatsamatterU.

Arkansas would be a better fit for SMU than UT, simply because UT doesn't need the exposure in Dallas, while Arkansas would love it. We actually had some good games against them post death penalty, we would end up with a packed Ford Stadium, although we would have to pen their fans in prior to the game so they wouldn't sully the Boulevard.

Arkansas would be great. It was a good game back in 1999 when we played them (at least in the first quarter) and plus we didn't get embarrased. Heres's an idea though: What about Ole Miss? They are in the SEC, usually weak, but still give us credibility if we one. Further, travel time isn't bad. I remember when we played them in 98 and almost beat them. Either way, I just want to play some big tradional programs that are interesting. I really don't care who it is.

Whatever Mr.Mustang, you would be content with SMU playing ITT Tech, and Metroplex Bar Tending Academy for our Non-Conferance. Drop the Mustang from name, you don't deserve such a name.

You don't know what the f*ck you're talking about.

I want the absolute BEST for the Mustangs. I won't get into a debate with you because it would be like trying to teach a pig how to sing.

Once again...it's so-called 'fans' of the program like you who try to run off the 'non-alumni' fans of the program...
