We had 5x as many wins that year and beat a top 25 team - beat Rice, Beat Houston, Beat UTEP, beat UAB, beat TCU.
Don't know about you all - but I am all for setting us back to 2005!
If we beat the above mentioned teams next year - I call it a success in year 1 of new coach to be named in Mid January.
Stallion, if its Johnson, it shouldl be sooner. But, if its Mike Shula , I think that it could be January, and I think if a recruit gets a call, "Hi, is Joe there? This is Mike Shula, I'd like to talk to him about coming to SMU. " I think he would certainly get a positive reception, as would Fran, Rick Neuheisel, Gary Barnett, or Chan Gailey. If Shula or Neuheisal are the targets, and we have to wait until January, are they worth the wait?
