Granted we would probably go 0-4 but it would be fun to watch SMU play these guys.

And then play 8 C-USA games. </B></font><HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

USC has home open dates for 2004 and 2005; I've been knocking at Jim Copeland's door for 24 months about contacting Garrett if the NCAA grants a 12th game fulltime.

I would love to see that happen. They have a great football atmosphere on the USC campus for game day, similar to the blvd. You eat and drink with the many tailgaters then stroll over to the LA Coliseum for the game. There's plenty of tradition, hot SC ladies, and great football, all in So Cal, what more could you ask for?? Make it happen Copeland!!

I agree that playing usc would be great. Good exposure for SMU in LA, which would also then give usc expansion into texas, especially Dallas. The two schools share a lot of similarities, except sc has a large population, which has helped it become a larger school. I loved watching SMU play ucla at the Rose Bowl in a game we could have, and should have, won. Never mind knocking on Copeland's door. Let's get Bennett in on it.

USC already has exposure here. They signed one of the top OLs in the state (Kyle Williams) a couple of years ago, and since his arrival at USC, Pete Carroll has created a national recruiting base. Some have said he might be the best recruiter in the nation.
Nonetheless, I like the idea. I just don't see what those other teams (other than perhaps Tech) would gain by playing us.
