If you take the grad students out ( who are 100% local) then the remaining undergrads are about 50/50 in state/out of state.

Where'd you see that SMU is over 50% non-Texan? It's held pretty steady at 85% over the past 5 years.

Where are you getting 85% from?

For 2006 your chart shows 7552/10941 = 69%

New first year classes are less than 50% Texan, however, they take transfers in later years (more texans).

If you are using 8945 for total students in 2006, that is wrong. That number represents the number of students from the ten best represented states. That number does not include students from the other states or international students.

Now that we have realized that I have reading comprehension issues, I see what you're saying. 85% is wrong.

I found a newer one. 62.4% Texan.

Froggie High was what my brother called it. I never had any desire to go there for the exact reason you stated above. It was an extension of high school. And yeah, the alums tend to stay in Fort Worth. But TCU seems to draw the non-alums too. I wish SMU could figure out how to do it.
