Bower was the Conference USA coach of the decade for the 90's, and since 2000 has gone 53-34 - I'd say the frontrunner for coach of the '00s.

Hasn't had a losing season since '93??!!

We're talking about the most successful coach in our conference's history. Bower has always found a way to win, and more importantly, win in CUSA. I could really see him building SMU into a consistent winner over the next few years, hopefully putting us in the position to take that next big step down the road. Can we ask for much more?

Please let me get sick of 7-5 and 8-4 seasons at SMU...

thats the difference between USM fans and SMU fans. USM got tired of not winning back to back to back CUSA crowns...SMU fans will kill just to have back to back 7-5 seasons

i like bower, but you cannot ignore the "model" at usm vs. smu...they can recruit anybody. i think fedora will do just as well there.

Would Antwan Easterling come as well?

Antwain Easterling would be a great pickup but an example of the type of player that Bower used to be able to get into school that would be no way here.

Could you imagine that conversation taking place with SMU's admission department...
