I don't know but I wonder if his wrists are bleeding from all the emo thats been going on...

Lets keep in mind that Doherty was national coach of the year previously. They don't just give that to any Tom, [deleted] or Harry. He lost the kids at UNC that forced the admin to fire him.....you just can't get away with that Bobby Knight stuff anymore, especially at a top 20 program.

Like all coaches, he gets the 4 year clock to get his guys in there....this year has been painful, but if you fired Doherty now my guess is that we will be looking at another 50+ day coaching search, another lost recruiting season, etc. That is shortsided.

He will be judged by me by wins-losses in 2010 and how he recruits in the DFW area. It amazes me that over the past 20 years I can count the number of impact DFW area players on one hand.....that has to stop if we are every going to do anything.

good points Mr. Kinzer. I wish Moody had a tenth of the energy that existed in that 93 season. The Rice game at home was truly an unbelievable March atmosphere. Yes folks, a classic game against Rice. Chad Allen was the hero that night. I too believe we have to ride Doherty. My problems right now are horrible scheduling for a program like SMU, letting or forcing veterans like Dez go, and no early success or indications in local recruiting. This california connection feels like what Shumate tried to do after that 93 championship. He promptly went and got a bunch of california kids and neglected the backyard. I hope Doherty is not doing that, but the signs aren't good.
