Just getting there is a major victory for Hawaii. The Rainbow Brights can't have their cake and eat it too.
Be happy, you had your 15 minutes.

You obviously haven't read up on OUR program and where it's been. We haven't even sniffed a conference championship since the 80's!
The results speak for themselves at what June did at Hawaii given how strapped the program was. OH, and by the way, I didn't see you guys complaining on your way to the Sugar Bowl last week.

Add this to my list also:
JJ's NOT a great recruiter. You want to call Norm Chow a snooze -- take a look at your new coach.
Our best recruiting class was last year -- and that was due to Jeff Reinbold. He's your guy. He deserves the big pay check!
But, just ask how our local kids felt about playing for JJ in the nine years he's been here. They all leave!

Someone point out to this loser that Hawaii was 0-11 before JJ came to their school...He is the only reason that people know that Hawaii plays college football.

Sounds like a win-win to me.

Ok, two -- if you want to count a TIE. In life, I don't count ties. It's like finishing in second place. Do you finish in a tie for the girl you want?
Add this to my list:
-If it wasn't for dat' genius Herman Frazier, there's NO way we would've gone to the BCS! If Northern Colorado and Charleston Southern was instead replaced with USC and Michigan -- we would've gotten blown out!
Why? B/c those games are early in the season! Just look at how we struggled @ La.Tech the second game! If that was Michigan @ the big house -- we would get killed!
If the girl has an equally great twin, why not? I'll take one and the other person can take the other.
I forgot where I was -- this is SMU -- you'll settle for anything. You're desperate -- even for sloppy seconds! HAHA!

JJ's NOT a great recruiter.
This is Texas, son. Our so-so players are good.

You know there are a few kids on the team we could use...so let's hope they can transfer with the coach. I think Newberry played great this year amongst a few others....hmmmm PONY UP!!!!

SMU just became relevant again. Honestly, it makes me happy because it gives me an excuse to see college football at an awesome stadium more than twice a year (road trips to Lubbock). Great environment for gameday, great stadium, and pretty soon I will bet a pretty good team.
The spread is a great equalizer of marginal talent. It will take a couple of seasons to figure it out, like it did at Tech, but once the right type of QB is found, you're on your way. Tech is now realizing what a spread can do when it is run with really good players. Watch out Big XII, 2008 may lend a different south champion.
Conf USA foes will hate playing the Mustangs from now on. Even if they lose, the ponies will run the defense into the ground. They'll know they had a tussle after 60 minutes of JJs offense.

Newberry sucks! So, thank god he's a senior so he's gone! Have him!
That's the type of left overs you'll be getting from Texas at SMU! And, I know you like left overs!

Mark my words!
Write it down, take a picture, bookmark it!
But, you know what I need to remember where I'm at.
This is SMU -- so all JJ has to do is win one or two games each year, and it's already a success!
