Isn't it? And yet the powers that be think that it's not iconic enough I guess since the are making the "main entrance" to campus SMU Boulevard coming west from Central.


I agree with you, but its hard to make Bishop the entrance to campus when there is no parking whatsoever, and all the administrative offices are now in the Blanton bldg across campus.

Oh I know why they're doing it. And maybe it's the price of progress in a landlocked campus. I just think obscuring your most identifiable landmark is kind of sad.

I've seen it stated that SMU Blvd will be the "functional" entrance, so I'm sure that means Bishop will continue to be the marquis entryway.

I wonder how much it would cost to dig a parking garage under the main quad for visitors?
