They weren't doing anything fast, just cruising through plays to make sure they knew where running lanes would be, how to read the blocks in front of them, etc., and it was admittedly an odd sight to see a guy that big in the backfield ... but it sure looked interesting. If I was a C-USA linebacker, I sure wouldn't want to look over the line and see McKinney and Martin back there.
Hmmm, maybe 4th & goal from the one will work this year...

Sam's still here.
The first like, 45 minutes on just the drills can get a little tedious, not gonna lie. But I think it's kinda necessary too hahaha sadly...

WFAA had a story on at 6 last night about spring practice. It looked like the team were really covering basics. That was wonderful to see. I think basics are a great place to start this season.
GeorgiaMustang wrote:PonyPride, did you make it to the second day of practice? I'm sure we'd all love to hear you insights on how the boys look from one day to the next.
Pride is heading out of town to cover the women's BB tourney. Spring practice reports may resume next week 3/10 (probably coach interviews, as the school will be on Spring Break).
We hope to have daily reports back starting the Monday 3/10 after Spring Break.
It's my understanding that today will be the first day in pads. I'll try to get out there and take notes, although I'm not the expert that Pride is.

I heard he was classy too...
Let it go already. If Bennett had been fired any earlier in his tenure, we wouldn't have June Jones coaching the Mustangs. We might have won with someone else coaching last year, maybe, but maybe not. Just be glad for what you have now. End of sunshine Pollyanna speech.
