50/50 sounds about right. Then we lose in OT 56/50.

There are just too many question marks for any kind of analysis. So, using a random number generator, I've concluded that the final score will be:

SMU 4
Rice 15

I bet Heron gets a safety on the opening kickoff return. I wonder who gets the other?

LSU will take out their starters in the 1st quarter so I have the final score LSU 348 UNT 0

That would be some sort of record. Or something.

Here is a wild far fetched prediction:
Play 1: BLM gets injured
Play 2: BS gets injured
Play 3: JW gets a chance to redeem himself and ends up throwing an INT

SMU still wins 48-45!

but it is a really farfetched prediction

What about if we get fouled on a field goal attempt and then make the free throw?

The 9-year-old says,

SMU 47
Rice 42

To quote her,
"Oh, come on Dad, we're going to beat Rice. We're not as bad as you think we are.''

My 4 year old says, "Who cares what a 9 year old girl thinks?"

Seriously. And he's been going to games with me since he was 2.

Joking aside, I hope she's right!

My 33 year old does not say anything because she is a graduate of Southwest Texas State. My 30 year old just smiles because she is a graduate of Texas Tech.

Oops...should have posted this here, not the other thread. I said SMU 38 Rice 35 until I saw this...

Since they're already showing you up 1-0 with 90:00 in the 2nd quarter (??) I'll say 39-35 ;)

BLM probably played against similar sized crowds in HS. He, therefore, shouldn't suffer from big crowd jitters.

Is the speed of CUSA that much faster than 5A Texas HS? Probably but not to BCS standards.

So, I don't think he will be a total flop. He will suffer from not knowing the offense but hopefully he will get it quickly.

SMU 24
Rice 17

If our defense can hold Rice to 17 points we are in for a great season but I think Dillard alone scores more points than this.
wow thats bold... 3 tds for dillard in the first game of the season... hope you're wrong, unfortunately you may be right
