Yes they do, and we've played in some real toad-stranglers before, although they usually come later in the year. I've seen games played with several inches of standing water on the field and rain so hard you couldnt see either goalie from midfield. Lightning will force them to clear the field, though. Rain games suck, I always get sick the week after.

If Hurricane Ike does hit the Texas coast as a Catagory 3, as predicted, I would call that a big hurricane.

Considering Katrina was a 3 when it made landfall, I'd agree with you.

I'm more concerned about how the storm will affect the soccer tournament here in Dallas. according to this: http://www.stormpulse.com/fullscreen/hurricane-ike-2008 it's going to be coming down right on top of us.

For those like myself who are planning on viewing the football game via a dish, hopefully the weather will not cause a reception problem.
