You're as awful at stirring up controversy as you are with your attempts at comedy.
They may not have had a Winter semester scholarship to give. OSU ran out of winter scholarships last year and lost a few players that wanted to enroll early.

That contradicts a rumor that I heard from a TCU staffer who said they did offer him, and that they're upset about losing him to us.
Hope my rumor is right!
I think this is a more likely scenario. I would be surprised if TCU did not offer him a scholarship. You never turn down a chance to upgrade your team speed.

I think you are on to something Horsepower.

I read something on the TCU board that they have around (10?) rb's, could have been a factor for both parties. At 5'10 or 5'11, 190, with that speed of his, we could have a whole new dimension to the Run and Shoot! This could cause a lot of match-up problems for opponents, he can run the ball, swing out on passes, and line up in the slot. Yes sir!
Perhaps he looked at both and realized that there was more of an opportunity to play immediately than in FW. Kids want to be with great football programs. But they also want to play as soon as they can.
We really don't have great depth there. Martin is gone. Butler is a question mark, although I like his ability (and he really hasn't received much of a chance). B.J. Lee is a spot situation back.
So if this is how it played out, then it makes sense for him. Plus, he's closer to his family. Madison High School is right next to the Cotton Bowl.
