I believe that. I would also like to see his clean numbers in comparison to the current roster... the track guys were always impressive in the weight room, especially with the explosive movements that are important for football. it will be interesting to see what JJ can do with RAW talent. at 6'7 and with some speed he will be ideal for third down pass rush... could be fun to watch.

p.s. the number of times you can do 225 really shows nothing about a player and is probably the most over-hyped test...

Great avatar! Darius Johnson will look great, wearing the colors of the great state of Texas, and the SMU Mustangs!

I have to disagree, 4.65-4.7 is not insanely fast for a guy who runs 4.65-4.7. It is pretty much right what you would expect.

he will benefit from Sungod (even though he is coaching wr) and Bert Hill; both are solid DL coaches

4.65-4.7 is OU-USC DT type speed. Excellent athlete but...The question is can this guy possibly play at this level now having never played ? Almost impossible, but maybe in a year.

He is listed as a freshman redshirt on the roster so I guess he has 4 years of eligibility remaining if he sticks around.

Can't argue with logic.

I'm picturing Yenga and this guy as our DE's. And I'm thinking we have potential.

Try Taylor Thompson in that equation. Yenga's getting a look at OLB this spring.
