He played with Darius Johnson as a sophomore at Hightower before his Dad took the AD Coach job at Van Vleck. He started at DT for Hightower as a sophomore. That says a lot.

Timmy Chang was 19 td and 19 int his true freshman year I believe. I bet Bo gets much better. He came from a rushing offense and had August practice to prepare.
What do yall think his Rivals rating will be? 5.7 3 *, perhaps 5.6?? He is not on the pre-season Texas -100 which is a lot of the 5.7's isnt it? Then again DJ was 5.7 and not on it

And it is nice to get a highly recruited DT early too! There is not very many 6'-6'3" guys that are 280-320 and know how to play the position. I would imagine They are usually taken up by the big schools early

This is what he did to the competition at the
Shuman Junior combine.
1). He won DL MVP
2) He won the strongman competition
3). He did a great (not just good but great) job one on one moves. Here is the link:

This is a loooong way away from signing Dickerson. Don't get me wrong, Michael is a great pickup, but let's not start comparing him to Eric Dickerson while he's still a junior in high school.

I wasn't comparing Dickerson to Michael - no way. Friarwolf basically said a 2A player couldn't be a "pied piper" whereas I think a top 100 recruit, regardless of high school division could be the pied piper referenced in another thread by Stallion. In short, I don't believe the pied piper concept is limited to 5A players. Sorry for the confusion

Team him with Evan and we will have an unmoveable defensive front line for the first time since the days of Dickerson! Mike congratulations on a great choice. As you can tell, we are excited to have you as a future PONY!

Gotcha. Can't argue with that logic. A great recruit is a great recruit!

Eric Dickerson went to 2A Sealy. He was a "Pied Piper" as he and Craig James were the anchors for the best recruiting class that SMU probably has ever seen.

mathman wrote:He is ranked #74 in Texas and looked to be in the top 5 or 6 as far as DT's are concerned. That was from a list posted on December 30.
Rivals and Scout will also be updating in a few weeks as well to my understanding.
