The only bourbon that is brewed outside of Kentucky. Great stuff.

Here in Virginia we still have moonshiners up in Franklin County. ATF is always up there. It lacks the aging of a fine whiskey. Aged 30 minutes in the trunk of a Grand Torino.

The man responsible for developing the exceptional taste of Crown Royal XR is Andrew MacKay, Master Blender. Working with the rarest whiskies from the legendary Waterloo distillery, he set out with passion and perseverance to create nothing short of the finest whisky ever made. The result is a sublime blend of extraordinary smoothness„a truly distinguished spirit.

Wine Enthusiast The bouquet offers rich, pastry scents with deeper fragrances of old oak, figs, dates and prunes. The palate entry is creamy, engagingly nutty, acidic and fresh; the midpalate offers long, expansive tastes of oak resin, paraffin, nougat and walnut paste. Concludes elegantly, sinewy and off-dry. This whisky has it all. Score range: 96-100. Score: 100. October 01, 2007.

I tasted this beer on Sunday, it was surprisingly good. Has a very subtle chocolate taste to it.
