BTW I noticed Illinois St. just got a commitment from another JUCO Shooting Guard just last week on 4/7/09. They already signed 4 players in the Fall. If Illinois St was our main competition there's a good chance that opening has been filled by Illinois St.-I don't know if it was filled before or after Clinkscales made or didn't make his decision. It would be odd to take 2 JUCO SGs in the same class-they were probably an either/or situation. I don't think the timing of the Illinois St commitment and the apparent commitment which was hushed up by SMU was a coincidence.

actually this article on 4/8 says Illinois St. filled two spots in the prior week and have now filled all of Illinois St. 's scholarship slots.

We wished we could compete with Illinois St. which has won 49 games over the last two years. They looked fantastic earlier in the year at Moody.
