Sounds like a good kid...the article says he chose SMU over Houston, TCU, UTEP and a few others...did he have offers from these shools? If i am not mistaken, rivals only reports offers from ULM and SFA?

He's got a bad ankle? WTF? That's 3 guys with either serious or nagging injuries. Not good.

MOUNT ENTERPRISE - Kevin Pope rushed for 175 yards on 18 carries and two touchdowns to lead Mount Enterprise to a 35-0 win over Timpson Friday.

While Pope put on a show, the Wildcats' defense sang the same tune. Blake Chapman and D.T. Bryant combined for three interceptions to help increase Mount Enterprise's record to 5-1 overall and 1-1 in District 19-A.

Shannon Davis had two catches for 98 yards - including an 87-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter.

Quarterback Larry Solomon had 166 yards and two touchdowns.

Grant Grubbs nabbed 67 of those yards with four receptions and a touchdown.

The Wildcats pounded Timpson in every quarter from the backfield, racking up 256 total rushing yards on 38 carries. Bryant capped off the win with a 4-yard touchdown run.

Mount Enterprise will continue action against Waskom at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Waskom.
