Doh or Pappa -- that video was based on him playing in Europe and eastern europe with the international courts. What have you heard from others about how his european game has transitioned to the states?

Thanks in advance.
The competition on the video appears to be very weak imo. Looks more like pickup games to me.

He played a very solid game against very good competition. He is very skilled in many areas.
I've only seen him play one game. I will get a chance to see him play several more times this season so I'll have a much better idea of his ability. However, based on what I saw I would have to agree 100% with Fran Frashilla comments. I don't want to over hype the guy but I think he would start for us right now.

The kid hasn't signed with us yet. I think it would be very cool for as many locals as possible to go to the CCCC games dressed in their SMU attire & show their support for this kid.

Completely agree w/Papa. Show the kid some love at CCCC. Go to a few games, be vocal, have fun. I haven't heard a bad review yet.

My understanding is that he has to graduate from JC to be eligible at the D1 level, that would put him in the 2011 class. It's not uncommon with foreign players to be missing test scores or parts of their transcripts, and not qualify initially, thats why they need prep school or junior college, first. He's 21 now, so in 2011 he'll be 23, which is also not uncommon with foreign players, Faye is 24, and Dia will be 23 before the season is over.

Did Clinkscales graduate from his JUCO? Isn't he a true sophomore? He played one year in Kansas. Why would this kid have to wait until 2011? That seems a long time to play JUCO and already be commited. Something doesn't smell right. I think if he comes, he comes next year. Any thoughts?

Clinkscale was a full qualifier. Maybe this Belarus kid because of his curiculum can't be considered a qualifier. Therefore, he would have to graduate from JUCO.

I see your point, but still feel we need to hear the whole story first. Two years is a long time to hold a players commitment, especially for the Mustangs.

tons of '11 kids are already committed to programs, relax. TCU has '11 verbals, are they all in danger of being sniped too. What about A&M, they several '11 verbals etc.

As Stallion stated, Clinkscales was thought to be a non-qualifier, who qualified very late, and was left w/juco as his only option as a frosh, unless he wanted to prep.

You have heard the whole story. What is it you dont understand?

My only thinking here is that he is wondering if a JUCO could transfer to SMU after only year. Of course, he can as long as he meets all of the requirements. I think he's thinking you have to spend two years at JUCO before you can transfer, which of course, you don't have to.

SMUpony, Clinksclases is on the roster and given our compliance office, we likely would have caught something that would not have added up. I think everyone expects him to either start or be one of the first players off the bench.

As for our Eastern European friend, just follow what the keeper told you and you will be good.

I hope that clears that up for year.
