[quote="Boston Pony"]My guess, he will get the full ride (they'll figure it out for the right player). If he is good, he will make the pros as Ivies place players into the NFL all of the time. Our best argument is when we start placing OL into the NFL, which may happen in a couple of years. His approach is different than most recruits, however it refreshing. Best success in his choice.[/quotee
No such thing as a full ride to an Ivy. Best they can do is figure every angle to get an athlete some form of academic grants and aid. I coached a kid 2 years ago that was recruited by Cornell and grabbed the starting safety position at mid season last fall. Kid graduated as #2 in a HS class of 150, SAT 1580, 3 sport letter man for 4 years in each sport, All Region in 2 sports, National Honor Society, Honor Society in 5 pursuits, Class President, .....etc. The kid/family ( 5 kids;3 in college) is still on the hook for $17,000 and change per year and that was the best deal he could get from any Ivy including Princeton and Harvard.

I was recruited by Yale and although they had no athletic scholarship funds, I was assured that I would be provided with a "part time job" that would cover the cost of my education.
And Nick is correct that a PA kid need not worry about the cost of where ever he may go to school.

that's weird but the Ivy League seems like its coming on (?) ...the Ivy Bball teams are rollin as well...we have some new OL guys coming on as well...no worries....good luck to Mack as he seemed to be more interested in the education which is fine but we need some hungry kids like the Sherman Oaks kid who has something to prove. We can't forget our two grey shirts who are getting stronger and will be ready soon....
