No upper deck is needed. The original design anticipated continuing and completing stands around the southern end zone in order to bring the capacity to 45k. With the right schedule and conference mates, it will be important, including hosting conference championships, etc.

As for an indoor FB facility, I would argue for a new Natatorium/Aquatic Center first, not to mention the desirabilty of renovating Moody soon.

Agree. Aquatic Center and Moody before indoor FB facility.

Good discussion above about natural grass turf vs artifical. We also need to consider how to refresh the field and cleanse of all the splattered contamination from horned toad DNA that will be left on the field every 2 years or so.

Could we solve both issues, by turning natatorium into indoor facility?

Too small and the target site for new Aquatic Center, plus that is an old building with large maintenance costs. It used to be SMU's gymnasium, a long time ago.

Any updates/pictures of this? Do we know what company is doing it (Daktrronics, Mitsubishi, etc?) Will it be HD? Am I asking too many questions?

I drove by Ford earlier today and saw a crew working on the video board. The old board has been completely removed so there is a big hole where it used to be. Not sure what brand the new one will be, but if it isn't HD, they are pretty much wasting their money. Go ahead and invest in the current technology...unlike the one in Moody when it was installed. They still need to find someone who can run the thing properly. That will make the biggest difference.

Is it a band-aid until if (when) we expand the stadium capacity?
