Just pray that the wind is not blowing from the stockyards.....It can be intense!!!

And y'all wonder why Tech fans will be so hostile by Saturday.Junior wrote:Or we can look through their well-thought comments on this thread about Thad's 30 on 30.

Pretty much in-line with most of their other comments. Fairly ignorant. Definitely on the [deleted] side. You know, very Texas Tech-y.
Trust me, we will. Because only a Tech fan would attack you from behind. At least all of my fights involving SMU guys in college took place face-to-face.KillBilly wrote:And y'all wonder why Tech fans will be so hostile by Saturday.Junior wrote:Or we can look through their well-thought comments on this thread about Thad's 30 on 30.

1. I'm not one to talk typo smack, but clearly you think the term is "dribble." It's 'drivel.'RaiderRed wrote:
The one that posted about Tech's fan base being "unhappy" or such dribble.
.
Oooo the big bad Tech fans booed when playing the SMU school song.

I take it YOU'RE a fine example of that nearly Tier 1 education?SMU, your SMU.
That's Carnegie Research ratings. We prefer our faculty to teach things to students, such as when to use commas (between "checked" and "SMU).Tech is very close to Tier 1 as far as the University is concerned. Last time I checked SMU wasn't even considered

U.S. News and world report rankings: SMU #56. Tech...#159. Thanks for playing.

Well, Mr 3rd largest city in the Big XII, I understand that trips out to the Tahoka Highway are no longer necessary to buy alcohol. True?RaiderRed wrote:

Typcial...this is a sports board buddy. What else you got? Oh let's see, "Lubbuttocks" I believe is what you said on another post. Fine example of a cultured SMU silver spooned mummy and daddies boy from Turrle Creek. Give that word a shout when your in Lubbock. Classy. Bet you got that from your rump buddy the aghole.
Have you ever heard swing your sword?RaiderRed wrote:CalallenStang wrote:That's Carnegie Research ratings. Wow US News and World Report....now that is a ranking I will bet my life on.
Oh and this is a sports board not a thesis! Just like agholes, can't beat'em in sports so let's just pick on the grammer.
Ya'll are so cute at this age.
Typcial. What else you got city boy!

Find a real ranking of universities that puts Tech above SMU. Don't even think about Carnegie, because the only way you will get "Very High Research Activity" on there is if the state decides they want to support you over the great institutions known as UH and UTSA.
If your fans are oh-so-friendly, why did the Tech band feel compelled to stand around the SMU band to protect them from your fans in 2006?
In regards to the booing of the alma mater, I've been to games all over the country, including many Big 12 and SEC venues, and Tech fans are the only ones with too little class to see what is wrong with that. Boo the fight song, etc. etc. etc. all you want, but when a song is played that represents the entire institution of higher learning, it's pretty pitiful to boo. Later on, your life may just depend on research conducted at that institution of higher learning, so don't boo it.
Like I've said before, I've had a lot of Tech people in my family including some players. I know all about Tech and Lubbock, and I disagree with some of your characterizations. It's a shame that you can't accept any criticism of your ideas.
