Houston had all the points they needed to win by halftime. At that point UH had 252 yards total offense and SMU had 165. UH yards in 2nd Half were deceptive because when you return a Kickoff 91 yards for TD and get a TD off a 19 yard drive after a Turnover you aren't going to pile up a bunch of yards because you don't have the ball. UH offense clearly outplayed SMU's offense despite the statistics

Take a look at our recent recruiting classes and see just how many DBs signed a letter of intent, but aren't on this year's team for one reason or another:

2010 - Jeremy Hall, 3 stars; Marice Sutton, 2 stars
2009 - Ryan Clark, 4 stars; Keivon Gamble, 2 stars; JR McConico, 2 stars; KJ Vaifale, 2 stars
2008 - Deyon McElroy, 3 stars
2007 - Derrius Bell, 3 stars (injuries cut his football career short)

I don't know that all these guys (outside of Bell) would have panned out, but you have to think that it would have given us some competition at the position. And this list doesn't even include 4 or 5 other guys listed as athletes that might have been slotted in as DBs.

We need to get some DBs signed AND THEN get them on the field.
