Army is the BLACK knights... if we are truly rolling out black jerseys and hoping for a 'black out', to me this would seem monumentally stupid.

I'd be happy just to get rid of the stripes on the blues we have and move the numbers to the sleeves. Or just no stripes.

You have to have permission from every single team on the schedule in order to do that.

Personally I want to see a return to the Pony Express uniforms.

This is our third big game since June has arrived, possibly fourth if you want to count TCU this year, and each time someone starts the rumor that we are going to have black uniforms. From all that I have heard, we are not going to have black uniforms now or in the future. If this does happen, then by all means let's discuss and get upset.

As for the blue uniforms, they are truly great and I would not mind seeing them pulled out, but I also don't mind the red. We have the greatest uniforms in the country, even if they don't look just like the ones from the 1980's. If we really want to wear some great looking uniforms, perhaps we should go back to our 1935 uniforms when we won the national championship.

I heard from a few players last year that blue would not be making a comeback anytime soon after the 1-11. JJ is superstitious like that which is why he rocks the sweatsuit at practice in the heat and wears black on gameday. He was also pretty clear in NYC that we would not be wearing black at this game. Steve said "oh but we can wear anything from the Adidas rack" which I guess means we could wear purple or gold or green or any other color adidas makes. As SO seems to let JJ do what he wants when it comes to this kind of stuff, and as the team we're playing are the Black Knights, I feel pretty comfortable saying we're sticking with the home uni. The black jersey seems like a regular season home night game move. It also seems like a stupid UGA copycat move.

One basic look I'd like to see is Blue Helmets-Red Jerseys-Blue Pants-Red Socks-Blue Shoes. With a little bit of design in the Uni and possibly some bit of gold and white. I'd love to choose something that would be nice.
I don't like white unis except for away games. They remind me of white ice skates for females.

The uni's from the early 80's were some of the best looking uniforms in college football

there's a lot of "good old day" syndrome going on here. yeah, PEx unis were great (i've got a feeling you associate those with winning in your sub-conscience), but i'm sure there were guys from the previous era who didn't like them. things change.

i'm not trying to be abrasive, maybe it's that i just don't care what someone is wearing. if there's a stripe or not, black/blue/red/white? meh. WINNING! that's what i like. if we only won games wearing black uniforms, you would all be calling for them to wear them every week.
