By that, I'm sure you just mean that he has been so happy about his commitment that his friends couldn't help by commit to the same school, and not that he has been doing any sort of active recruiting for us.

This guy is a huge get, no pun intended. He is ranked 22 nationally. That is almost as high as Moreland's #18 ranking.

He represents almost 20% of our total Rivals points!

As I posted on another thread, but it bears repeating, it looks like this will put us at #5 in the nation in OL recruits.

If Preston is heavily involved in this, give him credit for being a really smart guy. If you are going to succeed at QB, it all starts with the big boys in front of you.

I would imagine Pony Excess is not hurting...and the comments from Dickerson about how much he enjoyed his time here. Couple that with our relatively new facilities, the "smell" of money when you visit the campus and DFW area and this coaching staff....SMU has a lot to offer without any pay for play. I expect some of the big boys will be calling the NCAA and urging them to send out the investigators again.

One final comment that won't be popular but could be a factor...those California kids are well aware that TCU is going to be playing in the Rose Bowl and I will bet JJ and this coaching staff is talking to these guys about SMU accomplishing everything TCU has and more...and playing in a BCS game before their college careers are over.

UDub board in a meltdown as they have now lost two players to SMU. Funny comments like "maybe he has a thing for gold Trans Ams" (obviously they forgot that ATM was behind that one)

I enjoyed the post where they claim that he is going to SMU for its low academic standards.

That must have been from their WDNWHA committee.

That UW message board is funny stuff. I particularly enjoyed this little gem:

Considering UW, UO and SMU all use minimum NCAA requirements to admit their athletes, that's 100% not the reason.

We use minimum NCAA requirements?? Thats news to me...someone tell Jeremy Hall and Darryl Jackson

And it is harder to get into SMU then UW - whether you are a football player or not - so not sure what he is going on that.
