Any idea as to how many non-AQ schools have an indoor practice facility? Do any schools in CUSA have one?

Don't worry about other colleges. Refugio, TX has an IPF. They are 2A.

That surprises me. Must be new.

To those not familiar with South Texas, Refugio is a small, poor town that has always hung it's hat on football.

I don't know where the water table is, but it would be awesome to have the IPF under Ford Stadium.[/quote]

Now that would be one of the 7 wonders of the known world...waaaaaaaay too expensive...notwithstanding that the water table is very high in N Texas.

I really don't like the TV Sportcasters saying the Pitt is practicing at TCU and because of the weather Green Bay will practice at Highland Park HIGH SCHOOL IPF...instead of SMU.....

Consider, too, that elsewhere in Texas this week, the Green Bay Packers were forced to move around their practice arrangements - from SMU's outdoor practice field to Highland Park High School's very own indoor practice facility. Just so we're clear, this is necessary because both a professional football team and a private university do not have indoor practice facilities, but a local public high school (one of the wealthiest in the nation) does.

this the real shame of it all...

Proposed budget cuts in Texas may affect "arts education, pre-kindergarten programs and teacher incentive pay," but thanks to this voter-approved bond, the Allen student band will stay both seated and hydrated.

When your town sits in the middle of one of the most significant oilfields in the country you can build those kind of toys. i was in Seminole for a Volleyball tournament, all of their facilties are first class, high school building, three gyms, pool, the IPF. Not bad for a town of about 6,000 folks.

Went to half my freshman and all my soph hs years there. Fun times, and yep they take care of their youth.
