Klemm is apparently lead recruiter on at least 25 of SMU's offers. Odum is lead recruiter on 6-all interestingly in Florida. Reinbold has the two kids in Louisiana. Saun was lead recruiter for Prescott Line. Bert Hill for Lagassee.

Wow, tech has a lot of out of state offers as well. Not much excuse why we shouldn't at least be offering some of the kids in Texas and seee where we stand.
IMO - SMU would be well served to develop a home recruiting base in addition to (instead of) the nationwide approach that it is using right now. When Howard Schnellenberger took over at Miami, he built a metaphorical recruiting fence around Miami that included Broward, Dade and Palm Beach counties. Schnellenberger would then go after every D1 prospect within the "state of Miami".
SMU would be well served to go after every top prospect in the Dallas area. It's not like it costs a great deal of money to scout players at Dallas Skyline. I have no idea why Jones isn't offering the local stars like Ladarrell McNeil, Kolby Listenbee, Devonte Fields, Peter Jinkins, Jonathan Williams, Thomas Johnson, Curtis Risor, Kyle Fuller, Brian Nance, Damien Lawry etc. What's the risk in offering some of these kids? Who knows, some of them might want to play college ball close to home.
TCU continues to roll in the Metroplex getting Devonte Fields (rated the No. 19 recruit in Texas) with double digits offers most all from BCS schools like the rest of their other commitments. That's now 2 Texas Top 20 recruits- I wonder why TCU bothered to recruit these guys

Our Texas recruiting efforts are really worse than 12. We currently have only 6 active offers, as 5 have already committed to other schools and 1 committed to us. Stallion, I don't think you were kidding about our presence on Hawaii beaches!
Hey I know TCU has an advantage right now on us but when is someone going to tell SMU's story. When is someone going fight and compete for these kids like Klemm does in California-SMU is a better school, on a prettier campus, excellent facilities, with stronger alumni in a better city. We've got a 2 Million Dollar Coach who also has taken a team to a BCS game. With 2 straight bowl games we have a story to tell-unfortunately less than a handful of the Top Texas kids are even getting the sales job. How long does a coaching staff get to start stealing a few players from its rival. You think the 1980 staff would let SMU get outworked like TCU is doing to us right now in our own backyard. June Jones is going to have to get some recruiters that can seal the deal in TEXAS.
