"As a group, the linemen have a combined 158 career starts, the most in Division I."
That is nice to have!

Glad to see us get some nice recognition from Rivals--now let's prove it on the field.

Really enjoyed reading this. Although it makes me wish it wasn't two months away from football starting.
But this line from the last part sums up how I feel about this team right now:
This might be the most talented team in Conference USA, but the schedule is a bear.

Nice writeup, but included Fields, who obviously won't be here anymore

Worried about our Special Teams.....probably the difference maker in several games this year.

Not sure why when Fields transfer plans were announced a month ago.

# 39, GOT TO LOVE IT ! I agree with the article. The only real question mark now is one cornerback position and depth at CB. I would not be surprised to possibly see a true freshman take over CB opposite Crawford after a few games. Maybe two freshmen move up to 2nd team D at CB. Sure hope the JUCO All American recruit makes his summer school grades. We need his talents at CB. Otherwise we have good athletes at all positions and better depth than we have had in forever....Glad to see walk on Beau Barnes at 2nd team DE. Hope he has or will earn a scholarship this year. He was a very good high school player who actually had an offer to Air Force.

Not gonna happen. My money is on Chris Parks IF June decides to make a change.

I agree PP, but I'd like to see the true frosh Kitchen ( 6'1 considered UMich) get some PT.

Keep in mind none of the true freshmen are on any of the deptch charts on this writeup, but that surely will change too. I expect at least 2 or 3 to be on the 2nd team deptch chart at some positions, and some very well could crack the starting lineup throughout the year. I do think CB is a position where that's possible, I think Daren Kitchen is going to be a big time player at SMU
