Plus some one said war, close to a fight, and if it was football related thus the punch.
Kinda reminds me of the time i went on a winter hay ride.

"Stay and watch the halftime show. Its pretty good as far as marching band performances go. Sure, its no summer blockbuster movie, and features no explosions or laser lights to hold your attention. But, hey, its probably the best college halftime marching band performance that you are likely to see. So, if you think that may be something that interests you, then I would recommend watching it over going to the concession stand during that 20 minute stretch of your day."
Is the halftime show when our cheerleader gets on the field and knocks the cadet down?
Yes, it happened right in front of me. It happened in the early 80's. Our cheerleaders went out on the field to give a cheer. Evidently, it is against A&M rules for anyone other than an Aggie to go onto the field that is not a player. One of the corpsmen decided that this should not be tolerated so he drew his sword and ran at the cheerleader who initially evaded him. Another cheerleader got behind the cadet on all fours and the cheerleader who was being chased pushed the cadet over his back onto the ground. Everyone laughed but the cadet was very lucky that he didn't get impaled on his sword. The President of A&M, who was sitting with President Shields at the time, said he had never been more embarrassed. The cadet, of course, is now a legend in Aggie lore.

That is all true except the "down on all fours" part. No one got behind the Aggie to assist in the fall. The SMU kid reacted quickly and simply put a hard shove on the Aggie who then flew backwards landing on his rear. Someone here on ponyfans has the clip that shows the incident. A classic event.

It just might be better for TAMU if they implemented a rule that the corps is never allowed to be shown on TV...especially during a football game.
I swear every time I am watching a game and the camera pans to them, I just get prepared for a
facepalm moment. I think the corps is just TAMU's crazy uncle; the one who you keep inviting to social events because he was once a great war hero or something, but now you just start laughing nervously every time you see him talking to a guest.

I can think of no other group of people that makes it easier for others to mock them. It's as if they send out step-by-step instructions to everybody on the planet.

So Aggy has 3 selections for Hall of Fame. Shocking.
