And apparently those schools aren't fighting Arkansas St, NTSU, Rice, and Louisiana Tech for 3rd tier commitments in their own state. It actually appears that they canvassed their own state, got their offers out early and are going head to head for the Top Florida talent while SMU got about 9 offers out early and has trickled a few more out casually to recruits generrally not in the Texas Top 150
They don't have to offer as many in-state recruits, but I would hope that you're not suggesting Burton is a third-tier Florida recruit.
Where do you stand on Burton? Or are you dodge this too just like you did with Marks?

1) This staff is focusing outside of Texas and doing well
2) Stallion only knows Texas
Therefore, we need to ignore Stallion as he has nothing of value to offer.

I am smarter and know more than you. No, I am wiser and more knowledgeable than you. Now, now ladies, you are all smart and beautiful. Enough already. Do you really think that the coaching staff doesn't want to recruit Texas better? Really?? SMU has been such a mess for so long, it is a tough sell. Kids from CA or FL don't recognise this as much. As we win more, the local kids will come. Plus, the quality from anywhere is still quality. Go Ponies!!

It seems both the General and Stallion agree that maybe some coaches with assignments in Texas only could be doing better. So let's call a truce. Hopefully the coaches that have Texas only as a recruiting area are now looking at high quality 2013 recruits to offer early next year. In the meantime let's just enjoy watching Klemm recruit Cali hard and Coach Odum cherry pick from Florida with Coach Morrison keying in on a QB anywhere in the country.
