Returning starters is a great way but that wasn't the argument being made. The argument made was that TCU was so young. The number of seniors they started demonstrated that they are young, but not so much younger than us to make up for the talent differential.
Almost everyone gets a letter now so Lettermen wouldn't be a great way to look at it, Counselor. I'd expect KNOWLEDGEABLE college football fans to know that.

Generally, provided the difference isn't too extreme in talent.

I understand and appreciate the game experience comment, but I was surprised that TCU played so many older players. I did not expect that.

It means that TCU starters 10 seniors that they are going to have to replace with 10 more inexperienced players next year
