Naah. Your a Young'N. Was Frank the play by play guy for Cowboys before Sham? I played against Mitch when he was at Richardson. He was a beast.

Frank was a cowboy announcer, and was the Cowboy's TV announcer for CBS back in the 60s and 70s. Actually, I think he moved to Dallas in the 1950s and did start here broadcasting some SMU games on radio at that time.( Now I don't remember that for back, but I think I'm right ) Seems like I also remember him broadcasting Texas Ranger games back in the 70s.

Just watched a highlight tape of him on YouTube and was very impressed. I would definitely be in favor of bringing him aboard.

Looks like has great speed on top of being 6'4

I would be very careful before offering an injured player that has North Carolina at his top choice. Especially since we have other more pressing needs than at receiver.

NC preferred walkon offer. If we offer him a full ride he would probably take it. I will leave it up to JJ to decide if he would be a good addition.

Certainly if we offer he would take it but to offer a player with torn ACL at a position that is not overly in need is not to wise. We will see better receivers in the 2013 class if nothing else because we can recruit as a BCS team from the start of recruiting season IMO.

We pass on this kid - we are nuts. This kid's mindset and work ethic are such that he would not settle for returning to action at anything less than he was at his best. Likely better.

So why haven't other BCS schools offered? Considering walking on at UNC. You never know how someone will return from an injury like that. I saw his video and he has okay speed before the torn ACL. We would probably be recruiting over him next year as we will be going after higher caliber athletes getting ready for the BE. I say offer him to come on as preferred walk on. I am sure he is a nice young man but we only have a few scholarships left and this would not be a wise move IMO.

Sorry, I meant we should go after him hard as a preferred walk-on.

We still need that TE position on certain play calls and we do need bigger receivers as we go forth into the wild BE. He COULD be a preferred walk on at SMU as well, because his family could possibly afford the first year or two here and would be able to monitor his son's success. I have heard many good things about him in the past year from friends in the Park Cities....Grey shirt?
