Look assume the worst and Big East implodes-there are still going to be schools in Texas, Florida and some remaining Eastern schools-which means RATINGS. Fill in with schools like ECU and Southern Miss if AF, Navy and Boise balk. Heck it might be a more geographically sensible conference w/o the deadweight. I'd personally love a reasonableSouthern Division. Stay East in this situation-don't buy this MWC/CUSA affiliation of leftovers

I almost sense a giddiness in Stallions post.

agreed. go East. capitalize off basketball to build brand immediately, it will bring fans to the Mustang brand. put us in a better position. i'd rather be in a collapsing AQ in 2 years than in the conglomerate non-aq fighting for a seat at the table.

when it does go to the mega-conferences, they're going to fill from the top down. just like this time around, everyone is poaching the big east first, not CUSA or WAC or MWC

So much for Hawaii covering the spread.

I've got them in a teaser. They're still covering for me.

ColoStang wrote:We are totally one-upping TCU right now. Staying on their SWC >WAC > CUSA > MWC > Big East > Big 12 path. We were only a part of the MWC for an hour. I guess that means we'll be in the Big 12 real soon.
it took TCU 11 years from when they committed to football. took us 3.
don't take that B12 comment lightly. it's a lot more real than many think.

for BB the BE is sometimes best in country losing Pitt and cuse hurt them especialy sense they joined the typically 2nd bet conference in the country for BB. Its close to ACC and i would give the ACC the nod this year.

all compliments to our current AD. Steve-O put all that stuff in place at UCF. he is about to become the hottest commodity as an AD. in the last 10 years, his thumbprint has lead to 2 schools going from obscurity to AQ w/ big splash coaching hires, facilities improvements, etc.
thank god for the football accountant!
