Not that it really matters a lot but there is some chatter on twitter about the Big East being very concerned over our attendance this past weekend.
Back off Warchild seriously.

LOL. I prefaced with that it probably doesn't matter. Twitter might be the downfall of mankind.

I am sure some pissed ECU fans started this.
Some people simply forget just how bad it was...

By the way, there outta be some sh*t saved for UCF...undergrad enrollment of 56K and they brought like, what, 200-300 fans? Clearly we blew it big time, but still.

Didn't sell out conf championship game either
Re: Big East 2013
Good thing our football team isn't made up of of a bunch of cowards like some of you. As a middle-aged student and fan of this wonderful sport, things change. Notre Dame was nothing before Rockne. How many National Championships have SMU and Texas won in the past 40 years? Isn't it one each! No other team from Texas has won besides those two. People in the 80's said Oregon and Oregon State would never win because of 1)location, 2) not many D1 recruits in Oregon, 3)USC, Washington, UCLA, etc. .Baylor SWC champs in 1974 after 50 years of frustration...What was the motto again for BU AFTER the season, "you gota believe". Florida State was horrendous before Bowden and don't get me going on K State and their great coach. So at some point we hope you naysayers change your tune to "Well why not SMU"! Don't you historians remember how bad TCU was when SMU was at the pinnacle of colege football?
Re: Big East 2013
I don't think the sentiment is fear, I think its that our schedule in 2013 will be much more difficult than we have experienced in a LONG time. That's great, bring it on, but there will like be some growing pains along the way.

There will definitely be growing pains, we'll probably miss making a bowl the first 2 seasons in the BE if those OOC schedules hold.

The only two teams I see that we will most likely lose to are Aggy and Boise.

We should replace Tech with Rice going forward. We need cupcakes, and I'd rather deal with Rice fans.

Twice the size of the Tulane home crowd.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Re: Big East 2013
All I'm saying is that the Big East can't be TOO worried about our "lack of crowd size".
