Anyone else getting the feeling both academies walk away?

The academies have nothing to lose. If they join, they get a good chance at an AQ conference and better bowl games and they could keep their sweetheart deals with the military-centric bowls. They would have no reason to leave and would never have to pay the exit. If it crumbles, they can go back to being independents, and independents that everyone would accommodate because the young men and women who compete on their teams are the finest our nation has to offer and the definition of heros. I realize that AFA is not indy right now but theyd be better off as one than in the MWC.

SMT, it's just you. Think about it, the Big East would not agree to this deal if they didn't know they could hold on to the academies. Why? Well if the Academies say no, it gives a greater reason for the other new teams to reject the offer, easier for WVU and Louisville to look elsewhere, easier for Rutgers to stare down the ACC. Now why would all of those school just agree to pay more money for their imminent escape out of the BE?
