Interesting I was relieved to read just about the entire Big East board thinks a Championship in New York would be a horrendously stupid mistake too. I'm concerned about a Conference run by people that could make that type of mistake. One of these days they are going to look up at a Stadium with 12,000 for a Big East Championship

Once other teams are in then we can have a real discussion about that. I guess the main alternative is to have the same formula as CUSA. There is no other place in the Big East that would make sense as a permanent host than NYC.
Go Ponies!! Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad
This is what happens when a basketball conference makes decisions for football. These are the same folks who concluded that Villanova & Temple would be good adds to a football AQ league. I believe that all three of the Big East Commissioners have been graduates of Providence College - So what will the Big East do? Whatever is best for Providence.
There is a reason why the Big East is in the shape that they are in.

Stadium is just west of the Hudson River and is generally very windy on an average day and can be super windy if the weather is acting up.

Look, this is NYC, you will not be bored. you can run down to atlantic city (direct train) and gamble. your wives (or whoever) might demand to go. also you got enough of us in the NYC area to give you guys (gals) all the places to go to and things to do.
madison square garden usually host the BE basketball playoffs.
I am so ready for smu to enter the BE.
it's a hellofan easy sell to wives. and cheaper than getting to hawaii over christmas.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
