Kind of moot now anyway since he is recovering and should be able to play again this year. whether or not he does is the next question.

Recovering has nothing to do with it. Gilbert is recovering as well. Padron hasn't played since the 3rd game, he has a valid injury that could be season-ending. Not playing gives him the ability to apply for a medical, should he choose to stay in Hawaii, I mean SMU. I get confused with the Aloha shirts, leis, and all the island language. Book 'em Danno. At least all of our home games are in the afternoon now.

I believe 2 plays against UTEP, and mop up duty vs NW High School.

Scored a TD in one of the next games, didn't he? Put him in on a goal line series.

No,no,no,no,no,. This is how people keep getting bad information although I assume ponyboy knows what he means.

A redshirt is burned with one play. A MEDICAL HARDSHIP (sometimes referred to as a medical redshirt) is what Padron would be seeking. Completely different rules that Stallion has outlined very well. If you are going to use the word redshirt when referring to a medical hardship, please use the word "medical" along with it. There are way too many people that believe you can redshirt someone who has only played a little.

End of lecture. I am calm again.

Has Stallion explained the Medical RedRiver?

he didn't play after the third game though right? I kinda of forgot about that but I think it was against UTEP in second game. Anyway based upon Jones' comments today he will be availiable the following week-meaning he did not suffer a season ending injury meaning no redshirt redshirt waiver

Just looked at his stats on his ESPN page. Only played in the first 3 games.

Keep grinding that axe, or beating that dead horse, whichever you prefer.

He was in the last real offensive play and he ended up fumbling the ball which allowed them to get the 7 points in the last few minutes of the quarter, which is why I thought he got injured there, but i think these little put in run plays is to just give him stats.

This is what I was referring to. If you are eligible and able to play, you cannot claim medical hardship. You do not have to actually play to lose the status. As of now, Jones has said Padron will be available to play.
