IMO, BYU isn't going to happen. All talk. I think they had their shot at the Big 12, missed it, and aren't going to go to the Big East instead. They'll just wait it out and see if the Big 12 comes calling again. If Air Foce would get on board this would all be finished anyway.

Heard that BYU was happening and we would have an official announcement by the end of the week. Will see. I feel like we have all heard that same line a 100 times Regardless I hope they resolve it with something very soon.

Big 12 TV partners gave the conference an emphatic NO on BYU. BYU is a handful for any conference but the BE is doing everything it can to accommodate. Getting BYU would be a home run for the BE. Sounds like it might actually happen.

I'm not going to worry about it until I see the official press release. Obviously the news people, SC, and twitterland know nothing since it's been said we are going about 10x already. Rivals guy is great but that too isn't 100%

Big 12 vs Big East is a totally different situation for BYU.

BYU does not play sports on Sundays. Religious thing. For basketball, that is a no-go for ESPN.

The Big 12 wanted them in as an all-sports member. So, that issue was a deal breaker.

In the Big East, we will take them football only. So, the Sunday argument doesn't apply.

NBC Sports will have the Big East Network when the ESPN deal expires, as NBC wants a major tie in sports network and will be on a new negotiating platform with the Big East when it solidifies all the new Schools. Notre Dame is on NBC through 2015 as well...
