If Slocum really had the stones, he would:

Friday: March straight to FedEx and demand donations to...
Saturday Night: Fire Larry Porter after he loses again
Sunday Morning: Hire Mike Leach
Monday Morning: Announce the construction of a new IPF
Tuesday Morning: Call BE Commish and demand in.

DeAngelo came out recently and slammed Memphis football

I guess it was quite recently?

Geno's and Pat's are in a horrible neighborhood. And both are horribly overrated.

I swear I thought Deangelo Williams donated more money than that. He should be happy with FSSW since they really boasted about his donations and how hes brought new energy to this program. Isnt Fedex a donator to the school or no? If not then they need to call some execs and go on some nice golf trips.

IIRC his son is also on a fb scholly. He also offered to pay big bucks to get Memphis in the BE a year or so ago. Wonder if he's willing to do the same now.

The IPF would seal the deal. I hear you build one of those, BCS bowls start banging on your door with invitations.

Hey, you want to make yourself an attractive candidate to the one BCS conference taking applications, right? How do you think SMU got in? We sure as sh*t weren't selling past results.

I remember the same thing...having to listen to Fox Sports make a big deal out of DW's six figure donation. I mean, yeah, it's great, always wonderful to see an NFL alumni giving back, but at the same time I can't stop wondering why our 30 mil. in donations within seven days wasn't mentioned for hoops. Or even the 3 mill strip-joint redo of the locker rooms.
