Players reflect coaching. Are the coaches acting inspired?

I really wonder how much of the attendance woes affects the team. As someone stated, you have to go ALL OUT against teams like USM, Navy, and Tulsa to be able to win. I wonder if mustering up that level of performance is tough when you look around and see empty stands. Eh, who knows, but it sucks to see this team so lackadaisical

this team is full of quitters...do not deserve a bowl game to quit on...mama and daddy always blame the coaches

This daddy spreads it around equally. Senior leadership is really flat and I am hoping this week the players wake up and decide to be inspired and play hard.

After hearing about how hard these guys worked in the spring, summer and training camp, it's hard to imagine it's come down to this. We are at the point of just crossing our fingers and hoping "that the boys play hard"?

Obviously someone (JJ?) needs to make it clear to the players that it is not a matter of the fans not supporting them, it is a matter of SMU not having that many fans...yet. The fans that they have are there every game in support of the team. These fans have for the most part been through 25 years of [deleted] poor football, but have remained faithful. The players want a full stadium? Then they need to create something college football fans want to watch. It probably won't happen for these players, but eventually, if they consistently produce a good product, more people will become fans and fill the stadium.

It's pretty hard to blame fan support when 3 of our 4 losses came on the road.

Three of the four losses came after the nasty letter as well.

I suggest our video reporter interview a bunch of the players with one question .. What could us fans do to help put the fire back into the team?

answer: show up, and bring 10 friends with you.

I suggest a pep rally where we burn at the stake that little f_cken walk on from Oregon. After that we storm The Loyd Center and lynch the whole EF'in Athletic Department staff and June's crew. Then we need to drink some more. That should put some stagger back in our swagger. If that doesn't work, might I suggest looser fitting undergarments.

Was something taken from them? It sure seems like something has gelded the Mustangs...
