True, I honestly don't think we'd be better than 6-5 at this point had Padron not been pulled.

I think you are in the minority.

Maybe but I don't see Padron beating A&M, Tulsa, So. Miss, Navy or Houston. I think he would have looked a lot better than McD (not possible to look much worse) but still not good enough to win.

I disagree. I think he easily beats Navy, Tulsa, UCF, and TCU. USM is another story. We got whipped. Kp beat Tulsa 2 years in a row. 50% completions beat TCU. UCF and TCU are much worse than last year and he almost beat them as a 19 year old. You have your opinion, and the majority of us disagree with it. Kps mobility against Houston would have definitely helped tonight. Peace.

There were two or three terrible missed throws in the 1st half today that cost us, the biggest being the one in the end zone. Even though the final was 37-7, that was a very winnable game. The D gave us a chance and with average QB play, there could've been a different outcome.

LOL, you think a wildly inconsistent QB like Padron would have easily beaten several of our toughest opponents of the year? You must be a member of the Padron family. His inability to read coverages and get the ball off quickly held the offense back. June pulled him for a reason, 21 games in and he was making the same mistakes.

No relation. Just a fan. Doubt Padron's family would read this crap. Wildly inconsistent, isn't that what we are watching now? Kp's mobility
and leadership alone would win games. Plus, he's much more accurate. You need to watch a 19 year old Kp in 2010 and compare him to to this year's QB. Another year of seasoning would definitely improved an already record setting season in 2010. Just the fact that this team has folded is an indictment on the lack of leadership this team is experiencing this year. Funny the last 5 games, Kp hasn't been present and we see the worst play of the year from the team. Leadership means nothing right? Ever heard of Tebow? Not trying to compare the 2, Tebow is a pro, however, he's struggling a bit, but the team is still winning. What do you want, 75% completions, or wins?

I think at a bare minimum, we would have beaten Navy and be at 7 wins at this point. I think we also would have been competitive vs. Tulsa, and at least had 21 today against Houston. I had been giving McDermott the benefit of the doubt, but after the last 2 weeks with INTs in the endzone, I'm done with him. I hope we beat Rice and solidify a bowl game, but I also hope we get a cupcake team to face in whatever bowl we get to because we just look BAD.

The reality is that we don't know and will never know what KP would have done in any of the games. My problem is that JJ has been on a nasty slide for weeks with no consequence. I know KP is now injured so he won't be playing but to imply how he would have responded if given a chance with a simple assumption that he would be inconsistent, etc it ridiculous.

He is the one that turnd his program around with his strong play and to assume he would suck this year makes no sense to me. I will say with strong conviction that he would have been as good or better then JJ in virtually every game and situation with the possible exception of TCU in my opinion.

He'd either be inconsistent or not be inconsistent. Given what we saw from him in 21 starts it's safe to assume he'd be inconsistent. Assuming otherwise would be ridiculous.

Also, considering what we saw in 21 games, he'd win, considering he won over 75% of his C-USA games.

let me say that i don't have the first clue how to coach college football or prepare a football team. June does. Having said that, he has ruined 2 seasons with bad QB choices that were clearly bad decisions from the outset. Its like he is trying to be clever and is outsmarting himself in the process. To give up on Justin Willis as a senior in favor of BLM was awful the moment he did it, and it PROVED to be the absolute wrong decision. Now in similar fashion, McD has proven to be a terrible choice. yeah, so Padron wasn't perfect and still made some mistakes of a young QB, but he did enough good things that he always gave us a chance to win or comeback in any game. Its a shame, especially for the defense and other players who work so hard.
