If you want to go to New Orleans, just go to the away game when we play Tulane next year. Or just go some other time. It's a great city.

But for the bowl game, we should be thinking about one thing: exposure. Ticketcity vs Big 10 would be my top choice; AFB vs. BYU my 2nd; Hawaii 3rd and NO last. A win vs a Big 10 team would be huge for us (much like TCU's bowl win vs. USC). A game at home vs BYU would bring back memories of Aloha Bowl and would be a huge sellout. Hawaii, though far away, is the only game on that day...but would have been better with UH vs SMU.

N.O. bowl vs a sun belt team?? In the superdome?? That will garner ZERO national attention. And the attendance would be a joke in that place.

If McDermott and company roll that same garbage out we saw against Navy, Tulsa and Southern Miss then I do not want people to watch-it does not help the program. If we show up and play Houston close or win and get our act together then YES lets play in a higher profile game.

Purdue could be a ticketcity bowl opponent. Boilers can get eligible by either beating Iowa this weekend or beating Indiana next week to reclaim the old oaken bucket.

is there a trophy for every B1G game save for NU for now? i'm sure they've come up with one already for the NU v. Iowa border war.

Minnesota has them with Iowa (floyd), Wisconsin (axe), Penn State (governor) and Michigan (jug).

Iowa has the one with Gophers and Wisconsin

Michigan has the one with Minnesota and Michigan State, and I think they actually play Ohio State for one.

Michigan State has the land grant trophy with Penn State.

And that's all that comes to mind right now.

Day after Thanksgiving game should have been Penn St or Wisconsin. No idea what everyone was thinking with Iowa. It will be even worse than Colorado for tv ratings.
